Hello!

I've been crocheting for about 7 years or so. My mom used to crochet to have something to do with her hands while watching tv.  She would make these long scarves, then pull them all out and start again.  She would make something if you asked for it, but to my knowledge she never made a hat, or blanket or anything of that sort.

I started because I saw a book in a store about Amigurumi which is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small cute things such as animals. I didn't buy the book but I wanted to know how to make cute little things I could give away so looked on youtube and learned how to crochet through videos.

About a month after beginning crochet I answered an ad on Craig's list about yarn for sale.  The place had a huge bag of a bunch of very random yarns so I just bought the whole bag as a starter for things to make.  Every ball of yarn in that bag was different, so I knew I would have to make small things and I decided to make hats and give them away.

So now I make all kinds of stuff but I still make hats because I still like to buy random bags of yarn from people (I'm a bit of a yarn addict) and I enjoy coming up with different hats to make.  Crocheting relaxes me and makes me feel a little more useful while I sit and watch an entire series on netflix haha!  :)
